Happy 4th Birthday, Walt Disney World!  Okay, so I am 40 years late to the party.  But here is how they celebrated in 1975.  This cast member pin-back button was part of the Park's birthday tradition.  This button broke from the early basic circle design and continued the trend of highlighting an upcoming new attraction.  America On Parade, which began in the summer of 1975, was the parade celebrating the US Bicentennial.

In honor of our countries birthday, here is a souvenir from Walt Disney World's Bicentennial celebration, 'America On Parade.'  This 5 slide set is the 4th in a series put out by GAF, an early sponsor of WDW.  You will notice in most of the images that the GAF Camera Shop on Main Street USA just happens to be captured in the background.  Coincidence?  I think not.

This final section of the GAF guide highlights the special attractions and events available in 1975 including America On Parade, the Bicentennial celebration that "...is becoming the talk of the entire country."

The resorts section includes information on Polynesian Village, Contemporary Resort, Golf Resort, Fort Wilderness & Lake Buena Vista.  It lists all of the shops and restaurants such as the Terrace Buffeteria in the Contemporary.  What a great name!
