Wacky Wigwam

Wacky Wigwam
Parker Brothers, 1972

The Big D/Globe Head is shown on the side of this 1972 Walt Disney World Game from Parker Brothers.  Wigwams and ducks, interesting topics for an early Walt Disney World game, right?

The object: be the first to cover all of your ducks under wigwams.  First, cover all of the ducks based on the number shown on the spinner.  Then fun begins by trying to find your opponents' ducks and uncovering them first.

The game was made in Canada, thus (instructions en francais a l'interieur).  The back shows two other WDW games that I will be on the look out for now.
Thanks to my daughter for testing this game with me.  (I won)

Michelle's Bucket Hat

Multi-colored Globe Head Bucket Hat
Thank you, Michelle from eBay (or the person who resold this), for the great bucket hat.  It prominently features the Big D/Globe Head logo with the added multi-color filler.  Also, note the ears are much more oval in shape as compared to the more circular traditional ears.  I have very few items in my collection that feature this colorful design and am not sure when it was popular.  If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to share them with me.

Mickey & Minnie Autograph Book

Walt Disney World Autograph Book

Mickey is attempting to woo Minnie with his painted signature on the cover of this Walt Disney World autograph book.  The book has a hand-written date of 1981 on the first page and so is assumed to be from the late '70's or early 80's.

Mickey & Minnie Trivet

Mickey & Minnie Trivet
This 8.5" x 6" cast iron trivet features 'tourist' Mickey and Minnie and the Big D logo on a 4.25" ceramic tile.  It was made by Cherry in Japan.
Based on the great orange, red and yellow color scheme, I can only assume that this piece is from the '70's.
Happy Valentine's Day Weekend.
