Someone or something has made off with the previous cards in this series.  There is a gap between 0110219 and this dp card numbered 224.  This early card has the Florida Flag logo and as a DP card, features the icon from its location.  In this case, the Liberty Bell representing Liberty Square.

Mickey Mouse Math

Mickey Mouse makes math fun!  One side of this ruler has addition & subtraction and the other has multiplication & division.  There is also celsius & fahrenheit and metric conversions.  I usually provide measurements with my descriptions but I will let you figure this one out.

Before Disney Springs....before Downtown Disney....before Pleasure Island....before Disney Village Marketplace....there was Walt Disney World Village (and before that it was originally Lake Buena Vista Village).
Here is a matchbook from 1981 collected from The Verandah Restaurant with the Village Restaurant logo.  You can read more about the history of 'the village' at Walt Dated World.

The Gay Nineties

"....right out of the Gay Nineties...."  That's what the postcard says.  Of course they are referring to the 1890's, turn of the century, Main Street, USA.  They certainly don't mean the 1990's because this fabulous photo of the Dapper Dans in their striped vests and colorful pants was taken in the early 1970's.  This is the final chronologically numbered postcard in the early 0111 series before they skip ahead....right down the middle of Main Street, USA.  Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

A Box of 70's Memories

Maybe it's because I am a child of the 70's but this tiny gift box from 1978 seems to bring back a boat load of memories.  It measures 2" x 2 5/8" across the front and 1" deep.  This same groovy design can also be found on gift bags.
